Marjorie Agosin is the Luela Lame Slaner Professor of Latin American Studies at Wellesley College where she has been teaching for 32 years. She is an award winning author and is a recipient of The Letras de Oro Prize, a two-time winner of the Latino Literature Prize and also winner of the Gabriela Mistral medal of Honor for Life Achievment, among other awards. She has authored nearly forty books, including anthologies, poetry, memoir and nonfiction.
